Proudly presented by RSL Queensland, Run Army is a community running event with a difference.
Founded by the Australian Army in 2021, Run Army promotes resilience, health and wellbeing while bringing the community together with current serving soldiers, veterans, first responders and volunteers. The event has grown from a small gathering at Gallipoli Barracks into a major community event attracting more than 10,000 people annually.
Run Army is about more than crossing a finish line. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself physically and mentally, recognise the ANZAC spirit and show your support for the people who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our communities.
Run, walk, fundraise, donate or rally your family and friends to join you. Everyone is welcome.

Run Army brings the Australian Army together with the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Fire Department, Queensland Ambulance Service, State Emergency Service Queensland, Surf Life Saving Queensland and Marine Rescue Queensland. Together, participants and supporters raise funds for charities that provide vital assistance to emergency service personnel, veterans and their families. Beneficiaries include:
Legacy
Queensland Police Legacy
Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation
Queensland Ambulance Service Legacy
State Emergency Service Gift Fund
Surf Life Saving Foundation
Indigenous Marathon Foundation

In 2027, Run Army is aiming to reach a major fundraising milestone of $1 million. Every registration, donation and sponsorship contribution helps the organisations supporting those who serve our communities.
Whether you're taking part in Brisbane, Townsville or virtually, there is an event you for. Participants can choose the 5km or 10km events, 2.4km junior dash or the 15km Chief's Challenge (which combines the 5km and 10km events).
Registrations are now open. Sign up, bring your family, invite your friends and help make Run Army 2027 great.
